San Francisco, Aug 21 : Meta-owned Facebook has struggled to maintain its position in the top 10 apps available on the US App Store this year according to a new report.Based on an analysis of iPhone App Store data as younger users move to more modern social networks like TikTok and, more recently, BeReal BeReal, the app from the tech giant, has fallen out of favor in the App Store’s Top Charts according to TechCrunch.
According to the report in the year before, Facebook only fell out of the top 10 free iPhone apps in the US seven times.However, in 2022, that number has already risen to the 97th spot, which suggests that Facebook might have lost ground in the new applications that make their to the App Store’s top ranking.
To give a more exact analysis, Facebook’s app fell out of the App Store’s Top 10 apps only six times in the first part of 2021.The first quarter of 2022 it’s dropped out of this group in a total of 59 times, according to the data supplied to TechCrunch by the app intelligence firm Sensor Tower.
