Maha Legislature Session: Oppn Greets Cm Shinde With Chants Of \'50 Khoke, Very Ok\' And \'traitor\'

Maha Legislature Session Oppn welcomes CM Shinde with the chants of “50 khoke very okay’ as well as “traitor’

Mumbai 17 Aug : The ruling coalition of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis was a victim of the Opposition Nationalist Congress Party, Congress and Shiv Sena’s gloomy mood on the first day of the Monsoon Session of Maharashtra Legislature here on Wednesday.
The majority of the Opposition legislators and leaders held a loud protest at the steps of the Vidhan Bhavan, displaying posters and placards calling out and slamming the government prior to the commencement of its first legislative test.

When the CM and the other Shinde Group MLAs started trooping in to the parliamentary chambers, the Opposition legislators welcomed them with loud rants of”50 khoke, “50 Khoke (Rs 50 crore), Ekdum Ok” and “Aala Re, Aala Re, Gaddaar Aala (Here is the criminal)”.

The opponents were referring to the possible suspicions of horse-trading values of every legislator who quit in June, which culminated in the downfall of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government led by former CM Uddhav Thackeray on June 29 with Shinde-Fadnavis sworn in on June 30.

They also chanted slogans that condemned the regime, including ‘ED Sarkar Hai Hai’ (Eknath-Devendra duo) and ‘Gaddaar Sarkar Hai Hai’, as the Shinde Group and BJP legislators were passing through.

The agitation has a direct link to the Opposition’s decision to boycott of the usual tea-party for session-eve which was hosted by Shinde Tuesday evening.
