Jaipur 17 Aug : Jaipur, Aug 17 : female teacher who was burned alive on the 10th of August in an area near Jaipur and died from her injuries in the SMS Hospital here late on Tuesday night. Video clips of the incident have become viral on social media with users questioning the work of police officers and the degrading the law and order crisis in the state.
According to reports the incident occurred in Raisar village, which is located around 80 kilometers from Jaipur.The person who was killed is identified as Anita Regar (32), who was an instructor at the Veena Memorial School.
Around 8 am on the 10th of August the 10th of August, a group of miscreants gheraoe Anita as she was headed to school with her son, who was six years old.
To protect herself, Anita entered the house of an individual known as Kalu Ram Regar.She then dialed 100 to seek assistance.But the police could not arrive at the location.The accused set Anita on the fire by pouring gasoline on her.
As the woman continued to scream in pain The people around her continued to film the scene instead of helping her.
After receiving information about the incident, husband of the woman, Tarachand, rushed to the spot with his relatives.Anita was taken to the hospital of the government in Jamwaramgarh with 70 percent burns, which she was transferred to the SMS Hospital in Jaipur.
After fighting for seven days she died in the night of Tuesday.
According to the sources, Anita had reportedly lent an amount of 2.5 lakh to suspects.When she demanded repayment and they began to abuse her and beating her to death.
On May 7th, Anita had reportedly lodged an FIR in this case in the Raisar police station.It is said that the police failed to take any action.This incited the accused.
Tarachand said that his relatives are the ones accused of murder.
Sources told us that the videos were made in the area on the 10th of August the police had instructed people not to share the videos with anyone.However the videos became viral after reports was reported in that the woman had died.
The police also stated that they would soon arrest the suspects.But, the accused are still not being arrested after the death of the woman.
ASP Dharmendra Yadav said the police are currently investigating the case and the suspect will be arrested in the near future.
