Andhra Pradesh Minister for water resources, Ambati Rambabu, has claimed that Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu is exerting pressure on the Nandamuri family. This led to Nara Bhuvaneswari taking up the Odarpu Yatra in place of Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Rambabu explained that initially, Balakrishna had announced his intention to carry out the Odarpu Yatra. However, Naidu, fearing a loss of control over the party, devised a plan to prevent Balakrishna from undertaking the yatra.
During a press conference on Thursday, Rambabu expressed concern about the confusion being created by TDP leaders and Naidu’s family members among the public. He emphasized that issues raised should be addressed in the courts, rather than making allegations against the state government in public.
Additionally, Rambabu clarified that Chandrababu Naidu is currently in judicial custody, and the jail department officials are following court orders. He stressed that the jail department’s actions are independent of the state government’s influence.
Recently, Rambabu has advised actor-cum-legislator Balakrishna to show some courage before his brother-in-law Chandrababu Naidu to take over the reins of the party as Naidu had snatched away the party founded by his father N T Ramarao.
He said that it was a golden opportunity for the Nandamuri family to prove their strength and take their party back from Naidu’s fold.
