New Delhi, Aug 28 : After Supertech’s illegal twin towersApex and Ceyane — Apex and Ceyane -in Noida in Noida was successfully smashed to dust in the space of 9 seconds on Sunday the group of Edifice Engineering and others started the post-demolition work.The teams of Edifice Engineering, Jet Demolitions, the CBRI as well as Noida officials have begun to study and analyze the buildings that are adjacent as well as the rubble that was left behind following the demolition.
The twin towers were destroyed using a controlled method of implosion around 2.30 p.m.on Sunday.It took close to eight months of dedication and effort to tear down the twin towers that are worth close to 800 crore.According to estimates of an amount of 17 crore was used for the demolition and will be paid by the construction company.
The towers, constructed in 2009, took only nine seconds to reduce to rubble and dust.When the demolishment was complete, NOIDA CEO Ritu Maheshwari stated that the demolition was executed in accordance with the plan.
She said that the cleaning of the zone is currently being completed as well as the gas and electricity supply will be returned in the area, and people are allowed to enter the societies of the neighboring communities at 6.30 p.m.
Maheshwari said that no damage to nearby structures has been noticed as of yet the final report will be made at a later date.
Nearly 500 police and traffic officers were stationed within the twin towers in order to complete the demolition exercise in a safe manner.The Noida-Greater Noida Expressway was closed between 2.15 p.m.and 2.45 p.m.Then, an air-tight zone was declared over the city to prevent drones from flying over.
Vinay Singh, an assistant working with Indian blaster Chetan Dutta who pressed the last button to blast said to IANS that the blast was successful.He stated that the months of labor and determination came to a happy conclusion today with the falling of the towers.
