Hyderabad 12 August : An engineer in the field of software and a teacher from the state was allegedly found to have committed suicide in two separate suicides in Telangana police said.The techie took this extreme step after having suffered losses in the market for shares, while the teacher had taken out massive loans to be used for betting online.
G.Lakshminarayana (37) Techie G.Lakshminarayana (37) was hanged at his home in Ameenpur in Sangareddy district close to Hyderabad.
A native of Gollapadu in Khammam district he was working at an IT company in Hyderabad and working at home.
He was selling the family home in the village to fund treatment of his father who was ill.
A police probe revealed that Lakshminarayana invested the remaining 20 lakh in the share market, but had was unable to cover the investment.In anger over this, he killed himself.Police opened a case and set on further investigation.
In a separate incident, a teacher in the government was found to be committing suicide in Suryapet district.He had allegedly gotten an enormous amount of money and then had to forfeit the funds in betting on the internet.
With the pressure on lenders to collect the cash, G.Narendrababu (55) committed suicide at his home.The lenders on Thursday attempted to stop the car transporting his body out of the village.They relented when police intervened.
Narendrababu who is married to a woman who is also an employee of the government, had reportedly taken out a loan of Rs 10 crore.The family members informed the police they believed he did not disclose the method by which he used the funds.
However, the family suspects that he lost the money in betting on the internet.
