AP Assembly Deputy Speaker Kona Raghupathi, State Home Minister Mekatoti Sucharita and the district Collector of Bapatla Vivek Yadav paid tributes at the mortal remains of soldier Jashwant Reddy, who was martyred in firing on the Jammu and Kashmir border.Later, Home Minister Mekatoti Sucharita and Deputy Speaker Kona Raghupathi handed over the cheque of Rs.50 lakhs to the family of Jashwant Reddy.
Later, Home Minister Mekatoti Sucharita addressed the media.
She said that Jaswant Reddy was an inspiration to the youth and it was sad that he died at a young age.Minister Sucharita lauded the sacrifices made by soldiers like Jashwant for the defence of the country.
“We are safe because of the sacrifices of soldiers like Jaswant,” said Chief Minister CM Jagan.The AP govt handed over a cheque of Rs 50 lakhs to the family of Jashwant Reddy.
Deputy Speaker Kona Raghupathi said that Jaswant Reddy, who sacrificed his life for the country is an inspiration to all and conveyed his deepest condolences to his family.Jashwant Reddy’s funeral was held at Kottapalam Cemetery in Bapatla, Guntur District following the official military process.
