Pilot raises questions about NSUI defeat in student polls

Jaipur 31 August : At the same time that Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot has dismissed concerns regarding his anointment choice as Congress president Former deputy CM Sachin Pilot on Wednesday indirectly weighed in on the current situation in the Congress party.He stated, “Whatever the high command will dictate, the directive must be followed by every leader.In politics, everything that isn’t visible does happen , but what is visible is not happening.”
Pilot also raised concerns about the increasing crime rate in Rajasthan as well as the loss of the Congress student wing NSUI in the student union elections.He was in conversation with journalists at his home in Jaipur in the early hours of Wednesday.

In his remarks on the election of the party’s president, he declared, “Elections have been declared.

Notification will be sent out to announce the elections of National President of Congress on the 22nd.Whatever the issue it is, it will be brought to the forefront.We all speak about ourselves or others.Every one of us followed the rules of the political party with complete commitment and sincerity.The officials of Rajasthan have discussed this numerous times.”

Responding to a question about the rising crime rate in Rajasthan according to NCRB figures, Pilot said, “I have also read the report.The increase in crime is extremely worrying.The increase in instances of crimes against Dalit and tribal women is alarming.SC commissions should be granted constitutional status.The SC commission has gained constitutional status in several states.”

“No one should be able to commit atrocities against Dalit Adivasis.Even in my visit to Jalore I had said that the mere passing of laws will not be enough to deter the oppressors.

We must create such conditions by taking actions,” he added.
