Chennai 14 August, Chennai : One of Tamil film’s most popular actors, Meena, has pledged her organs to be donated.In a post on social media, the actress stated: “There is no greater benefit than saving lives.Organ donation is among of the most noble methods to help save lives.It’s a blessing to give a second chance to many suffering from chronic illness, something I personally was.
“Wish that my Sagar had been blessed with more donors, who could have transformed my life!” A single donor could save the lives of eight people.Hope that everyone is aware of the significance of organ donation.
“It’s not only between recipients and donors as well as the doctors.It affects family members as well as colleagues, friends and acquaintances.Today, I am making a an oath to donate my organs.”
In tribute to her husband Vidyasagar The actress concluded her blog post with: “The best way to ensure that your legacy will last forever.We love Meena Sagar.”
Vidyasagar died at an private hospital in Chennai in June of this year.He was diagnosed with lung disease in March and needed to receive treatment.Prior to this, he was down with Covid-19 but was able to get over it.
The health state of Vidyasagar who was admitted to the hospital for treatment of his lung issue was worsened in the latter part of June, and he died on the 28th of June.
