Expensive aftermath effects: Supertech will spend more than $ 43L to dispose of debris

Noida 30 Aug : Real estate firm Supertech whose illegally built twin towers in Sector 93-A, Noida, was brought down on Sunday, will invest more than the sum of Rs 43 lakh for disposal of the debris left behind after the demolishment of the towers, which were higher than Qutub Minar, an official told the media on Tuesday.
According to the contract with Supertech and Edifice Engineering -the Mumbai-based company that , along with Jet Demolition razed the twin towers to ground — Edifice will take the rubble to the disposal facility while Supertech will pay the cost of approximately $43,68,000 for the removal of 28,000 tons of debris for Rs 156 per ton.

The trash will be removed at the waste management for construction and demolition plant in Sector 80.The process of disposal of the waste will start in the coming days.

Two kinds of processing charges are imposed by the facility.

If the waste is picked up by the plant staff the processing cost is 500 rupees per ton, whereas when Edifice provides the trash, Supertech will have to pay the amount of Rs 156 per tonne for processing fees.
