Los Angeles, Aug 25 : Actress Regina Hall responded to actor Will Smith’s Oscars apology with a heartfelt thank-you.
Hall who was co-hosting the ceremony and was the co-host, thanked Will for his apology in an online video message following the 53-year-old actor starred in a comedy with Chris Rock during this year’s Oscars ceremony, after he made an ode to his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

“Life happens.I always say whenever I feel like somebody is genuine is, as you can imagine, offering an apology I mean, could you say to them other than thank you? It’s awesome,” Regina, 51 who hosted the event with Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes on “Entertainment Tonight” as reported by aceshowbiz.com.

The month before, Will blamed being “fogged out” and “fuzzy” for not apologizing to Chris at the time.The Hollywood star was forced to quit the Academy in the aftermath of the controversy and was later exiled from attending the Oscars as well as from all of the Academy’s functions for the next ten years.

Smith explained: “I’ve reached out to Chris and the response is that he’s still not ready to speak .When he is ready, he is likely to reach out.So , I’m going to tell you: Chris apologize to you.My conduct was not acceptable and I’m available whenever you’re ready to discuss.”

The actor also expressed his regrets to Chris his mother and to the entire family.The movie star who took home the Best Actor gong at the Oscars for his performance in “King Richard” – said “I did not realize how many people were injured in that moment, and so I’d like to apologize to Chris’s mom.I would like to apologize.”

Oscars producer Will Packer subsequently praised Will for his apology to the public.

He declared: “I love the fact that he’s so open about his journey.It’s clear that he has been through his personal recovery.I’m cheering for him.I’m hoping he will continue his own journey However, I believe that this is his decision.He needs to do it.”
