Bezos criticizes US professor for sending the Queen of England an ‘excruciating’ demise

San Francisco, Sep 9 : Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos on Friday attacked an Carnegie Mellon University professor who sent the Queen Elizabeth II an “excruciating” death.
Uju Anya, who is an associate professor of second language acquisition at Carnegie Mellon University, posted in a tweet: “May her pain be excruciating.”

“I was told that the head of state of an enslaved genocidal, thieving empire is passing away,” Anya tweeted as Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-serving monarch, died aged 96, after serving for 70 years.

Bezos has slammed Anya on Twitter for the controversial posts, and said”This is someone who claims to be trying to improve the world? I don’t believe so.”

Anya followed up with a tweet to Bezos: “May everyone you and your uncontrollable greed have hurt in the world be able to remember you with the same affection as I recall my colonisers.”

Twitter later pulled down the original tweet of Anya, citing that it violated its rules.

Carnegie Mellon University did not respond to tweets from Anya.

A Twitter user asked why she would want Elizabeth dead The professor responded: “I’m not wishing her dead.She’s already dying.I’m hoping she dies a difficult death, similar to that which she created for millions of people.”

“If anyone is expecting me to be anything other than apathetic about the monarch who was in charge of an administration that facilitated the genocide that killed and forced the displacement of half my family and the repercussions of which people living today are still struggling to overcome, continue to scream for the stars,” Anya wrote.

Bezos who was a visitor to Buckingham Palace in July, also shared a tweet about Queen Elizabeth II’s passing: “I can think of no person who better embodied duty than Queen Elizabeth II.My deepest sympathy to the Brits mourning her loss today.”
