Khan who is currently in Delhi on Wednesday, stated that the Ordinances were signed earlier in the year, and there was an entire session of the assembly however nothing was actually done.

“So when it comes time for re-promulgation, I will have to be able to focus my thoughts and I’m not concerned about criticism since I’ll be guided by my personal judgement and my conscience.

Everyone is free to make their own decisions. The legislative power lies with the assembly, not with the governor,” said Khan.

In February, Khan had inked this and with the Assembly not approving the Bill and the Ordinance expired, which put Vijayan in a dilemma because there is a case in the Lok Ayukta against Vijayan in the manner he dealt with the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.

In addition, Khan who is on tour, is now scheduled to be back in the capital city on the 12th of August.

In the meantime, the Law Minister of the State P.Rajeev said a session of the assembly was previously scheduled for October, and is now scheduled to be held in the early hours of the morning.
