Moscow 19 August : The Russian air force fired on unknown objects in the Crimean city of Kerch and was defending the Ukrainian peninsula, which has been occupied by Moscow from 2014.The port city serves as the entry point to an 18-km bridge connecting Crimea to Russia DPA news agency said on Friday.
Ukraine has identified the bridge, which was constructed in 2018 as an objective in its efforts to make it impossible for the Russians out of their territories.
“There is no risk to the bridge or city,” Oleg Kryuchkov, an advisor of Crimea’s Russian leaders, told Telegram.
He did not mention the specifics of what was being the target.
Kerch residents of Kerch told the internet that two explosions were heard.
Russia has threatened to launch a massive revenge in the case of any attack on the railway line and road bridge.
The bridge’s traffic is running smoothly the authorities have informed the Russian TASS News Agency.
