New Delhi, Aug 5 : In the midst of the multiple layers of security measures at the Congress party’s headquarters in the capital city of India on Wednesday, party members staged a ferocious protest, coordinated by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.The police had set up several barricades to prevent Congress workers from taking part in any type of marches towards the residence of the Prime Minister.
According to recent reports, the workers of the party are chanting anti-government slogans Central government, are constantly trying to break through the barricades.
Priyanka Gandhi, who refused to give up, jumped the barricade that was 3 feet tall after jumping over it.As she attempted to move ahead, she was stopped by the women police officers and then the Congress General Secretary was seated in the middle of the road in protest.
At present, several party leaders including Sachin Pilot, have been detained by police.
