New Delhi, Sep 10 : With the growing attention paid to the importance of airbags and seat belts in automobiles, the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari shared a video with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who emphasized the necessity of six airbags in automobiles.
In the video, he highlights the necessity of the necessity of six airbags in the vehicle, the clip features Akshay Kumar explaining the significance of airbags in the car.
As a man saying goodbye to his daughter following marriage in a car tells the viewer that his car is fitted with modern amenities like the sun-roof and a an advanced music system Akshay Kumar, who plays the role of policeman, claims that the car is equipped with only two airbags.The video also discusses the security benefits of having six airbags in automobiles.
“Thank Thank You Akshay Kumar for your dedication to the nation-wide National Road Safety Campaign.Your work in raising awareness about road safety issues is an admirable feat.We’re determined to reduce the number of road crashes in India with an awareness and the participation of citizens,” declared the Minister on Twitter.

In many instances Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has talked about the importance of six airbags in automobiles.Recently, Gadkari said that the ministry is working to make six airbags mandatory in all vehicles.
“The same companies put 6 airbags on their vehicles when they export these cars.So why do you have four airbags in Indian automobiles? Do our lives not have any value? A bag of air costs just Rs 900.If the number goes up it will fall,” the minister said recently.
He has also stated that seat belts are going to become mandatory for those in the rear seats in automobiles.
