Japanese lawmakers will donate a monthly allowance

Tokyo, November 16 : .Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), announced Tuesday that its newly elected members of the lower house will receive the monthly 1,000,000 yen ($8,800), transportation and communications allowance.Although they were elected in the final day of October, the LDP said the new members would be required to give the $1 million yen ($8,800), donation.
The new policy comes as criticism is rising over the full payment from the national coffers to those who won seats in the House of Representatives in the October 31 general election, after the opposition party took similar action, reports Xinhua news agency.

According to Xinhua, the new policy is being criticized for the payment of the entire national coffers to the House of Representatives winners in October 31’s general election.This was after an opposition party had taken similar steps.
