Ram Pothineni’s much-anticipated movie, “Skanda: The Attacker,” directed by Boyapatti Sreenu, hit theaters on September 28 this year. This film was expected to be a big action-packed extravaganza but received mixed reviews and struggled to make a substantial profit.
The plot of “Skanda: The Attacker” revolves around Ram Pothineni’s character, Bhaskar Raju, who kidnaps the daughters of the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The story takes a twist as it’s revealed that these kidnappings are linked to Rudrakanti Ramakrishna Raju, a company CEO and Bhaskar’s father’s best friend.
Raju faces a death penalty after being wrongly accused and imprisoned by the Chief Ministers for refusing to endorse illegal money.
After certain conditions are met, the villains attempt to counter-attack, but they are thwarted by Bhaskar’s doppelganger, known as Skanda (also played by Ram Pothineni).
The film explores Skanda’s identity and actions, concluding with a hint at a potential sequel.
The movie’s cast includes Ram Pothineni in a dual role, along with Sreeleela, Saiee Manjrekar, Srikanth, Sharath Lohithaswa, and Prince Cecil in key roles.
Daggubati Raja, Gauthami, and Indraja also play significant parts, and Urvashi Rautela performs a special dance number.
The movie’s music is crafted by S Thaman, continuing his partnership with Ram Pothineni, following their previous collaborations in “Kandireega” (2011), “Masala” (2013), and “Pandaga Chesko” (2015).
