Srinagar, Dec 19 : A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant was killed on Sunday in a brief encounter with the security forces in the outskirts of Jammu & Kashmir’s Srinagar city.
Police said an LeT militant was killed in a brief encounter with the security forces in Dharbagh Dhara area of Harwan in the outskirts of Srinagar city early Sunday morning.”On specific information generated by police, a joint team of police and the CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the Harwan area.The hiding militant fired at the security forces after which he was killed in a brief encounter.””Exact identity of the slain militant is being ascertained,” police said.

Srinagar’s outskirts: LeT militant is killed
According to police, a LeT militant was shot dead in an encounter with security forces at Dharbagh Dhara in Harwan’s outskirts of Srinagar City early on Sunday morning.
A joint police-CRPF team launched a search and cordon operation in Harwan based on specific police information.After firing at security forces, the militant fled and was then killed.
Police said that they are currently determining the identity of the militant killed in action.
