The Financial capital of India, Mumbai, has become a haven for drugs smuggling.For the past few days, police are conducting strict searches and are seizing drugs in large quantities across India.
However, Mumbai DRI officials recently seized 26 kg of heroin at the Mumbai port.
A large ship carrying a container of drugs from the Iranian port of Chabahar to the Kandhar port was seized by the Mumbai DRI officials.
The DRI carried out the raids with accurate information.The suspects tried to move the huge container of drugs with castor oil to escape from the authorities.
While inspecting the container that came with a load of sesame oil from Iran, DRI officials were stunned.After a three-day-long investigation, it was found that the drugs were mixed in the oil.However, ‘Heroin’ in the form of Sesame and mustard oils were seized.
A team of DRI officers registered a case and are investigating the case under the NDPS Act.However, more details on this case are likely to come out only after a thorough investigation by the Mumbai DRI officials.
