The YCP government headed by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has decided to give laptops to the eligible students of AP instead of cash under the Amma Vodi scheme.Under this scheme, the YCP govt provides financial assistance of Rs 15,000 per annum to eligible students.
Jagan announced this in his election manifesto in 2019.The YCP government is crediting money under the Amma Vodi scheme directly into the bank accounts of the parents of the students under class 9 and class 10.If students need laptops instead of cash, then they have to intimate the government.
Jagananna Amma Vodi is one of the most ambitious schemes launched by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for the poor students in government schools.
The scheme was announced by CM Jagan as part of his election guarantees (Navratnalu).
The AP government has decided to provide laptops with dual-core processors, 4GB RAM, 500GB hard disk, 14-inch screen, Windows 10 (STF Microsoft), Open Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) configurations.These laptops have a three-year warranty.The company is required to resolve any maintenance issues with the laptops within a week of the complaint being filed.
