Canada has sent soldiers to the Ukraine to teach the new Ukrainian new recruits

Ottawa 5th August : Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand announced that her country has approved the transfer of as many as 250 Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members to help train the next generation of Ukrainian recruits.

She said that the bulk of them will be trainers for an initial time of around four months, according to Xinhua news agency.

The first of three training cohorts, comprised of approximately 90 soldiers are scheduled to leave on the 12th of August and begin directing training classes in the coming weeks, Anand said.

The first Canadian-led course will be held at a military base in South East England, and will offer an individualized curriculum that focuses on individual capabilities required to fight frontline, including weapons handling first aid for battlefields combat tactics, fieldcraft and the Law of Armed Conflict, according to the statement.

Operation UNIFIER was initiated in 2015 on the request of the Ukrainian government.

It was launched in the beginning of this year, it was extended and expanded to March 2025.

Since the beginning of the operation since the beginning of the operation, the CAF has trained more than 33,000 Ukrainian security and military personnel in combat strategies and the latest military techniques.
