Banerjee had previously criticised the Centre in Tripura and the BJP government of Tripura for unleashing violence against the Trinamool Congress. She had also said that she would speak to the Prime Minister about this matter.

Before he left for Delhi on Monday evening, Chief Minister said to the media: “I will speak to him about the extension of jurisdiction through the BSF.They bulldoze the states in the name cooperative federalism. This cannot continue. She said, “I will speak to the Prime Minister about this.”

Just before the civic elections, she had voiced her dismay at the violence in Tripura.

“Where did the Human Rights Commission go?” She asked. The assassination in Tripura of democracy has been witnessed by the whole country.People are suffering under the BJP-ruled state.

We are not told anything about the Human Rights Commission or Article 355 in our Tripura case. What is the situation now? She asked.

The Chief Minister continued, “How many letters were sent to the Tripura government by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs?” They used to send us letters regularly. In our state, there was an election. Many leaders regularly came to our state. We didn’t stop anyone.

What is the reason for this in Tripura?

Bannerjee, who was last seen in Delhi on November 25, will likely return to Kolkata on Thursday.
