The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that polling for six MLC seats in Telangana and three MLC seats in the AP will be held on November 29 under the Member of Legislative Assembly quota.Polling will be held on November 29 from 9 am to 4 pm.However, the counting of votes will take place from 5 pm on the same day.
The election notification will be released on November 9.Nominations will be accepted from November 9 to November 16, and the nominations will be considered on November 17.The deadline for withdrawal of nominations is November 22.
In Telangana, the tenure of Gutta Sukhendar Reddy, Mohammad Fariduddin, Akula Lalita, Neti Vidyasagar, Venkateshwarlu and Kadiam Srihari ended on June 3.However, it was not possible to hold elections at the time due to the corona.As the corona cases reduced on a large scale in Telangana, recently, the election commission officials held elections in the Huzurabad constituency abiding by covid protocols.
In this context, the Central Election Commission has recently issued the MLC Election Notification.
