Chennai 25 August : The actress and producer Radhika Sarathkumar has lit candles and performed prayers at the renowned Lourdes church in France to ensure the health of the legendary Tamil director Bharathirajaa who has been admitted to hospital.In a post on Instagram the actress Radhika posted a clip of her lighting candles in the church, as she performed prayers to the well-being of director Bharathiraja.
She wrote “En iniya director Bharathiraja Avargaley (My dear director Bharathiraja sir) My particular prayers for you in the Lourde church in France.Be well soon, hope to meet you soon, hale and healthy.I miss talking to you.”
In the clip Radhika can be heard saying “For the person who lit the candle in my life” Bharathirajaa sir I’m lighting this candle in Lourdes church, and offering prayers of sincere concern for his wellbeing.Thank you for blessing him.”
It was Bharathirajaa who introduced Radhika as an actress in the Tamil film ‘Kizhakke – Pogum Rail’ in the year 1978.The film was a huge success and screened in theatres for a whole year! Radhika became a star and became an famous actress in Tamil film industry.
