Filmmaker Karan Johar has given his fans a glimpse of the first look test of his upcoming film, “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.” This marks his return to the director’s chair after a gap of over seven years.Karan took to Instagram to share a photo featuring actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, who play the lead roles in the movie.
In the picture, Alia is seen wearing a printed peach saree paired with a pink sleeveless blouse.
She adorns a black bindi on her forehead and golden earrings.On the other hand, Ranveer sports a printed red shirt, with his arm affectionately wrapped around Alia as they pose for the camera.
Captioning the post, Karan shared that it was the first look test of the film, expressing his excitement while thanking the costume designers and mentioning the film’s title and the actors.The post garnered various reactions from fans and industry colleagues.
Bhumi Pednekar commented, “Fab!!!” while one fan mentioned that Ranveer and Alia were a pair they wished to see together.Another fan couldn’t contain their anticipation, calling it a “blockbuster movie.”
However, not everyone seemed pleased with the first look.Some individuals expressed their dissatisfaction, commenting that the pair looked more like siblings rather than romantic leads.
Suggestions were made regarding Ranveer’s appearance, with some recommending a clean-shaven look and shorter hair, while others felt he should have been portrayed with a softer and more charming demeanor.
Recently, Karan also unveiled the first song from the film, titled “Tum Kya Mile.” He shared the song on Instagram, describing it as a fitting love song for the story.Karan expressed his gratitude for the song’s creation and announced that “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” would be released in theaters on July 28.
