The suspense has been over and as expected earlier Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) ruled out a merger with congress.
After six-hour long meeting of its general body, the TRS chief K.Chandrasekhara Rao announced the decision of not to merge with congress
‘’Majority of the leaders are opinion that TRS should not merge with Congress at any cost.A committee was appointed with 5 members including , Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Keshav Rao, Kadiyam sriHari, Vinod and Harish Rao to study the pre-poll –alliances” KCR said.
However, he told that TRS is ready to support Congress to form the government after general elections
“There are other ways to thank Congress for passing Telangana bill in parliament. If they need our support at the centre for formation of a government, we will extend it,” he said.
KCR expressed his confidence on winning 16 Lok Sabha seats and 100 Assemblee seats in the region. This will certainly a big shock to congress who pinned high hopes on merger.
Still the Congress leaders are to react on KCR’s announcement.
