Ramallah : , December 31, 2017 – The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics has reported that the number of Palestinians in Israel, Palestine, and elsewhere was approximately 14 million at the close of 2021.The 14 million Palestinians include 5.3 million who live in Palestinian territory, over 7 million overseas, and 1.7 million living in Israel.
It found that 3.2 million Palestinians live in West Bank and East Jerusalem.2.1 million are in Gaza Strip’s coastal enclave.
According to Xinhua, 6.3 Million Palestinians live abroad in Arab countries, and 750,000 are elsewhere.
According to the PCBS, more than a third of Palestinians are below 15 years old.
It also noted that there was a decline in 65-year-olds, which was estimated to be around 3% in the Palestinian Territories at the close of 2021.
For the current academic year, there were 1,338,353 schoolchildren in Palestine territories.665,294 of these are males, and 673,059 of them females.
According to the report, Israel had destroyed or demolished 975 West Bank and East Jerusalem buildings by 2021.About 30% of these buildings were located in East Jerusalem.
It said that more than 700,000.000 Israeli settlers reside in 151 settlements on Palestinian land in the West Bank.The report also stated that there were approximately 4,650 Palestinians in Israeli prisons.
