Jerusalem, December 31, : An Israeli citizen who crossed into Lebanon just a few weeks back was returned to Israel, according to the Israeli military.

They also returned an Israeli civilian who crossed into Lebanons Blue Line a few weeks back." According to Xinhua, the Israeli civilian was brought back to Rosh Hanikra Crossing on Israels northern frontier.

According to the statement, the 25-year old man was from southern Israels Negev Desert region.He apparently entered Lebanese territory "voluntarily" and "consciously".

Ran Kochav was a spokesperson of the Israeli military.He stated to the Hebrew-language Haaretz newspaper, that the man had apparently planned to join Hezbollah (an Iranian-backed military organization and party in Lebanon).

Kochav stated that he was captured by Lebanese troops immediately upon crossing the border.According to the spokesperson for Israels military, the man had a criminal history and was suffering from a mental disorder.
