Munich, November 20, 2018 : .Bundesliga club Werder Bremen faces a problem ahead of their game against Schalke.
Their coach Markus Anfang and his assistant resigned on Saturday after investigations revealed that they had used false certificates of vaccination to combat the coronavirus.Germany requires proof of vaccination, or evidence that you have recovered from a virus infection.
This is required for many public areas and restaurants.
Frank Baumann, Bremen’s managing director, stated that Anfang and Florian Junge have taken responsibility for the chaos and unrest around Bremen and its team over the last few days.
Bremen’s prosecutors are investigating claims that the two coaches falsified coronavirus vaccination documentation.
Bremen, however, stated Friday that Anfang denied wrongdoing.
In a club statement, Anfang stated that he had received his two vaccinations at an official center.He also has the documentation to support it.I hope this will be resolved soon.
Bremen was informed by Anfang that he had decided to quit the club because of the “extremely stressful” situation for him, his family and the team.
In June, Bremen was demoted from the Bundesliga after 40 years of being in the top division.Anfang became the Bremen coach.Bremen ranks eighth in second division (2.Bundesliga) table.
Assistant coach Danjiel Znovic would take over the match against Schalke.
