Telangana Public Health Director Dr.Srinivasa Rao expressed concern regarding the rapid spread of coronavirus in the country.He said that the coronavirus was spreading rapidly through the air.Speaking to media at the Directorate of Public Health & FW office, he said, “Till now we have been advised to wear masks only when we go outside but in the current scenario, it is suggested to wear masks even being at home.If a single person in the house is infected with the corona, the rest are being infected very quickly.”
Srinivas Rao said that the corona cases in the state have been increasing tremendously for the past four weeks.
He said that the same situation would continue for another four to six weeks.In this context, he said that all people should take self-care and abide by the rules of Covid-19.
Srinivas Rao said the imposition of the lockdown in the state would result in financial problems.Hence, lockdown will not be imposed with the intention of not affecting the livelihood of the people in the state.
He said the situation in the state was worse as the virus was spreading at a faster rate.He warned that if the people act irresponsibly further, soon, Telangana will also become another Maharashtra.
