Patna 9 Aug : After having submitted his resignation as the Chief Minister to Governor Phagu Chauhan on Tuesday, Nitish Kumar returned to the Raj Bhavan, this time with RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav to stake a the claim to form a new government.Both leaders were seated in one vehicle to get to the Raj Bhavan.
Alongside them, JD-U leaders Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Shrawan Kumar and other leaders were also present.
Prior to that, Nitish Kumar met the Governor to request his resignation.
He then, straight after, he went to Rabri Devi’s residence on 10 Circular Road to meet Tejashwi Yadav as well as other members of the Mahagatbandhan.
Nitish Kumar later returned to his home at 1 Anne Marg along with Tejashwi Yadav, Congress state in-charge Bhakta Charan Das, and others who are members of the Mahagathbandhan.
An assembly of the Mahagathbandhan leaders of Mahagathbandhan took place in 1 Anne Marg where the gathering elected Nitish Kumar as an Assembly chief in the Assembly and paved the way for Nitish Kumar’s return as the Chief Minister.
