The Congress ward member Bonti, who kissed party vice-president Rahul Gandhi during his Assam visit few days back, has died after suffering serious burns.
According to reports, Bonti has been burnt to death by her husband on Friday following an argument they had over.
The couple had a heated argument over the kissing incident after which husband set ablaze the woman
The husband also tried to set ablaze himself and has been rushed to the nearest hospital with serious burn injuries.It is yet to be confirmed whether the woman committed suicide or was burnt to death by her husband.
