The spread of coronavirus in India has been declining for the past few days.The number of active cases has been declining for the past few days and now stands at 8,38,729.This brings the total number of active cases registered so far to 11.69 percent.77,760 people have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours.Authorities estimate that active cases could disappear within three months if the current situation continues.
In the last 24 hours, 706 people died and 55,342 new positive cases were registered.
This brings the total number of cases across the country to 71,75,881 so far.The death toll so far is 1,09,856.So far, 62,27,296 people have been discharged from treatment, bringing the corona death rate in the country to 1.53 percent and the recovery rate to 86.78 percent, according to health officials.
The downward trend in India’s coronavirus cases continues as 55,342 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours taking the country’s Covid tally past 71.75 lakh, shows data shared by the Health Ministry this morning.This is the first time since August 18 (55,079) that India has reported around 55,000 cases in a day, and second day when the total new infections were under 70,000 since the September surge of around 90,000 cases a day.
