Odisha CM invites companies to invest in the region ahead of “Make In Odisha Conclave

New Delhi, Sep 1 : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has addressed Investors”meet and curtain-raiser for the “Make in Odisha conclave in the capital city of India and urged investors to make investments in Odisha.
The event was organized by the Odisha government in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

In his address to investors, Patnaik on Wednesday said, “Odisha is one of the fastest-growing economies in India and has always surpassed the average for the nation in the past 10 years and an hour and a half.We are rapidly becoming an important industrial destination in eastern India due to of the natural resources advantages and strategic geographical position.I am asking everyone to help ensure that ‘Make in Odisha Conclave 2022’ to be a successful event.”

The 3rd edition of “Make in Odisha Conclave’ will be held between November 30 until December 4 with the focus on specific sectorslike metals and downstream processing chemicals and petrochemicals, textiles and apparel together with technological textiles, food processing among others.

“Odisha is famous for its commerce and trade.Nowadays, Odisha is the largest producer of steel, aluminium and stainless steel in India.

We are gaining prominence in industries such as chemicals and petrochemicals clothing and textiles IT and ITeS, food processing, and other areas,” said Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Odisha Chief Secretary.

Hemant Sharma Principal Secretary, Industries Department, Skill Development and Technical Education, Odisha government, presented a talk about “Make in Odisha and pointed out the state’s achievements in the course of more than two years of solid government.

He declared that Odisha is the fastest-growing economy in the country and is now the most sought-after option in the area of minerals and metallurgy.
