New Delhi, Sep 13 : Homegrown Twitter rival Koo on Tuesday announced it has partnered with India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) which is an arm of India Post, under the Ministry of Communications to drive financial inclusion and improve literacy.
As part of this partnership, IPPB has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Koo which will bring together the synergies of both Koo and IPPB to increase financial literacy and inclusion among the people in Tier 2, tier 3 cities, remote areas and hinterlands.
“At Koo, we are determined to make rapid progress in our pursuit of digital inclusion.We are confident that our partnership with India Post Payments Bank will combine the most effective of both modern and traditional ways of communicating, and will help users stay connected with one another,” Aprameya Radhakrishna, Koo’s co-founder and CEO Koo stated in an announcement.
The MoU will assist in reaching to a huge customer base and will allow them to communicate through Koo’s unique language communities throughout the country with Multi Lingual Koo (MLK) features.
IPPB’s offline coverage, along with Koo’s capacity to empower users via digital touchpoints, will allow connectivity to users in the most remote and vast regions of India.This collaboration will encompass the management of customer relations for IPPB users using Koo’s grievance redressal process.
“Our partnership with Koo is an effort to make connections with the citizens of the nation in the language of their choice using its features like MLK and many others.
The plan is to establish the communication with users across states and raise awareness of IPPB’s past products and services in which Koo will play a key part to play” added J Venkatramu MD and CEO of IPPB.
