All Is Not Well In Gujarat Bjp: Sources

The situation isn’t good in Gujarat BJP Sources

Ahmedabad 10 August : The situation isn’t going well in the BJP unit of Gujarat as tensions are boiling within the party on a variety of issues, if sources to be believed.
The tribal leader of the party from Banaskantha insisting for only local candidates to be chosen for the Danta Assembly seat as well as Rajkot District Panchayat’s Executive Chairman resignation from the post on Tuesday are just two signs of the current of tension.

The party’s top leaders aren’t playing both shows, according to the sources.

Banaskantha district BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha president Ladhubhai Parghi in an open forum stated: “Party should only nominate local tribal candidates from the Danta Assembly constituency, if the party has local candidates then 1.30 lakh Dungri Bhil tribals are expected to celebrate the victory of the candidate of the party, but when the party nominates a candidates from outside or different tribes, we can’t guarantee his victory.”

It is an untrue statement by Parghi, who is the district president of S.T.Morcha party .They expect him to follow the party’s line.Being a leader he should be aware of the procedure of selection of candidates, in which local leaders and workers’ opinions and views are taken into consideration.

There is a chance Parghi may have issued this statement to signal others who are aspiring to be leaders that they are not a good fit, according to Harsad Vasava, Gujarat BJP S.T.Morcha president.

In a separate news, the Rajkot District Panchayat’s executive committee president Sahdevsinh Jadeja has handed in his resignation to party’s leadership.

Sahdevsinh was not available regarding his comments, but sources from the party claimed District Panchayat President Bhupatbhai Bodar’s excessive interference in administration led Jadeja to step down.

In a denial of the entire incident, BJP District Committee president Mansukhbhai Khachariya said to IANS: “Party has not received any resignation from Jadeja and there are no claims that he is being suffocated in the Panchayat because he doesn’t have a the freedom of.The reality is in the past he has discussed his decision to quit in light of concerns related to family and business but was then convinced to remain until his term expires.”
