Pak-China joint ventures face hurdles

New Delhi, Nov 19, : .The growing number of joint ventures between Islamabad (and Beijing) under the multibillion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is facing some practical problems, The Express Tribune reported.
On Thursday, President Wang Zihai addressed the Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry executive committee via online.He called for swift resolution of all issues and the removal of any impediments.

Wang stated that “The government in Pakistan is well aware of these issues, which has resulted in the establishment of alternative dispute resolution courts within the country,” according to an Express Tribune report.

To assist Chinese businesses in resolving problems related to domestic regulations and policies, the joint chamber established an online platform.

He applauded the efforts of the chamber in facilitating foreign investors to enter into partnerships with Pakistani entrepreneurs.

Ehsan Chaudhry, Senior Vice President of PCJCCI assured participants that investors involved in joint ventures as part of CPEC will be safe.

The PCJCCI, along with its online platform will continue to play a proactive part in helping overcome the obstacles faced when implementing joint ventures that are being created in collaboration with foreign companies.
