Patna 30 Aug : A court in Patna on Tuesday gave bail to BJP MLC Devesh Kumar in a liquor law-breaking instance in Bihar.
Kumar was arrested after he was caught in a heated argument with others in an intoxicated state in Patli Path under Patliputra colony police station about a month ago.
The BJP was in the state legislature in the state at the time the incident occurred, so the issue was dismissed.However, his comprehensive breath analyser report was positive on Monday as his party took over the responsibility of the opposition in the state.
Because the MLC was in violation of the ban for the first time, he was granted bail by the court of district.
Kumar On the other hand , claimed that he visited the Patli Path to assist one of his friends , Dr.Sanjay Chaudhary, who was involved in a verbal fight with certain youths.He did not have anything to do with the incident, he claimed.
The BJP’s next move is waiting in the issue.
