The number of Covid-19 new variant, Omicron, cases is increasing steadily in Telangana.Another 14 Omicron cases were reported in the state in the past 24 hours.
This brings the total number of cases registered in Telangana to 38.
In the last 24 hours, 259 people from at-risk countries arrived at Shamshabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.Covid RTPCR tests were conducted on all the passengers who arrived at the Shaamshabad airport, and four of them tested Covid-19 positive.
With this, the authorities sent their samples to Genome Sequencing.
So far, 9,381 passengers from At-Risk countries have arrived in Telangana.Out of these, 63 were diagnosed with Covid positive.
So far, 38 people in Telangana have tested positive for Omicron.The results of four more passengers are yet to arrive.In the last 24 hours, 37,353 corona diagnostic tests were conducted in the state.182 new positive cases were registered.This brings the total number of cases registered so far to 6,80,074.
Recently, the Department of Medical Health has released a bulletin.
One person has died of corona in the state in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 4,017.On the other hand, 196 people have recovered from the corona.
There are currently 3,831 active Covid cases in the state.
