Seoul, November 22nd : , Police announced Monday that a Buddhist monk was arrested after allegedly murdering a neighbor complaining about the sounds of prayer coming from South Korea’s Hapcheon County temple.The police say that the 60-year-old monk, who is unknown to this reporter, beat to death the victim for raising concerns about the volume of prayers coming from Hapcheon’s temple, which is 350km south of Seoul.
According to reports, the neighbour was in dispute with the temple about the volume of prerecorded prayers sounds coming from the temple.
Officials said that the monk was believed to be in a fit over the complaints.
The monk will be the subject of an arrest warrant.
