By Mrityunjoy Kumar Jha New Delhi, November 19th: Drawing inspiration from terrorist-linked Tehreek e-Labbaik Pakistan and Tehreek e-Taliban Pakistan, other extremist organizations have asked Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan for an end to the ban on their clothes.
Allama Aurangzeb Farooqi (leader of Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan) says, “If the government refuses to meet our demands,”
Farooqi threatened the government with a warning: “Agar seedhi Ungli Se ghee Nakila, Toh Ungli Tedhi Karni Padegi” (If the government doesn’t accept our demands), Farooqi demanded that all terrorist leaders be released and the government make similar deals as it did with TLP and TTP.SSP launched a social media campaign to ask Pakistani PM Imran Khan for lifting the ban.
Farooqi was talking about the Imran Khan government’s “secret” deals with two parties.One was with TLP, after thousands of violence-prone supporters tried to get their leader freed.The second deal was with TTP for a month long ceasefire that was helped by Haqani Network.
Farooqi claims his fighters fought alongside the Taliban in Afghanistan and says, “If Imran Khan is able to talk to them.
Shia militant group Shia Ulema Council (SUC), was also a rival to the SSP and demanded that Tehrik-e-Jafaria Pakistan’s ban (TJP), be lifted, just as in the case with the TLP.The SSP and TJP continued to operate and gain strength despite the ban.
These groups, like many other terrorist organisations in Pakistan have the right to gather, give hate speeches, incite others against them, and even run for political office, such as parliamentary elections.
This is an indication that allowing one or two militant organizations to be accommodated will help others.A Pakistani analyst says that they have begun to blackmail the government, much like the TLP.The state is likely to lose its authority.”
The country’s highest court summoned Imran Khan to denounce him for a “secret” agreement with TTP.
