New Delhi, Aug 30 : India on Tuesday saw a decrease in Covid instances with 5,439 new infections being confirmed in the last 24 hours as compared to the previous day’s 7,591 cases the Union Health Ministry said.
The active caseload has dropped to 65,732 cases.This accounts for 0.15 percent of the positive cases.
According to the health ministry’s report, the total death toll due to Covid is 5,27,799.
The recuperation of 2203 patients in the last 24 hours brought the total number to 4,38,252,024.Thus, India’s rate of recovery is 98.66 percent.
The daily Positivity rate has slowed to 1.70 percent, whereas the weekly Positivity Rate is 2.64 percent.
Additionally, in the same time period there were an overall of 320,000418 test were carried out across the nation, bringing the total number to more than 88.55 crore.
As of Tuesday morning the coverage of India’s Covid-19 vaccination was higher than 212.17 crore, achieved through 2,82,59,616 vaccination sessions.
More than 4.02 million adolescents have been vaccinated with the initial dose of Covid-19 jab since beginning of vaccination drives for this age group.
