The fire broke out at the Holistic Hospitals in KPHB police station area Nizampet.The hospital area was engulfed in smoke from the blaze.
Upon receiving information about the incident, firefighters rushed to the scene and are trying to contain the blaze.The hospital was carrying more than 35 patients at the time of the fire.
Firefighters are trying desperately to contain the blaze with four fire engines.Patients being treated at the hospital, the patient’s family, hospital staff and locals were in a state of panic over the incident.
So far 35 patients have been evacuated safely by police and firefighters.The treated patients were shifted to another hospital nearby for medical treatment.
Concerns have been raised about the number of patients in the hospital cellar.Local MLA Arikepudi Gandhi, who came to know about the accident, inquired about the relief measures and the incident.
