The Telangana High Court on Tuesday held a hearing on the corona conditions in the state.On this occasion, the Director of the Health Department, Srinivasa Rao submitted a report to the court.He told the court that at present the positivity rate in the state is 3.16 per cent and there are no conditions to impose regulations like night curfew.He said night curfew restrictions would be required if the positivity rate exceeds 10 per cent.

Medak had the highest positive rate of 6.45 per cent and Kottagudem the lowest at 1.14 per cent.GHMC had a positivity rate of 4.26 per cent and Medchal 4.22 per cent, the report said.Occupancy in the ICU and oxygen beds was 6.1 percent, the report said.He said as a precautionary measure, the regulations were extended to 31st this month to prevent people from gathering.

The court noted that more than one lakh corona tests are being performed daily on weekdays.

He said a state-wide household fever survey was being conducted and Covid kits were distributed to 1.78 lakh people with symptoms within three days.According to DH Srinivasa Rao, 59 per cent of those under 18 in Telangana have been vaccinated so far.2.16 lakh people were also given booster dose.After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the High Court commented that it was unfortunate that the masks and even the physical distance were not enforced.The High Court has directed the GHMC and the police to strictly enforce the Covid rules.

DH Srinivasa Rao was ordered to appear for the next hearing to explain the situation.The High Court has decided to adjourn the hearing on the Corona cases to this month 28th.
