Chennai, December 29, : .Director Tamizh’s film ‘Seththumaan’ has been produced and distributed by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam productions.
It will be part of the Chennai International Film Festival, which begins Thursday.Ranjith made the announcement via social media.

“Seththumaan” is not the most anticipated film.Its story was written by Perumal Murugan (also known as “One Part Woman”), who wrote ‘Madhorubhagan”.This caused a lot of controversy, with religious groups strongly opposing the way the traditions were presented in the book.
Ranjith’s production company, Neelam Producs, also tweeted to confirm the announcement.The tweet stated, “Feeling great! Happy to announce that Seththumaan has been selected for the Chennai International Film Festival!” We send our sincere congratulations to all of them!
Anthony Ruban is the sound designer of the highly acclaimed “Sarpetta Parambarai” and Pratheep Kaliraja was cinematographer for the newly released, critically acclaimed film, “Writer”.
