Union Tourism Minister Kishan Reddy has said that the Union government will support travel agents and tourist guides in the tourism sector who have been affected by the Covid.
Recently, the minister presented cheques to tourist guides and operators under the Loan Guarantee Scheme at the Tourism Plaza under the auspices of the Union Ministry of Tourism in Hyderabad.
Speaking on this occasion, the minister said that businesses, especially those based on tourism, have been severely damaged due to pandemic.With this, the Government of India decided to provide loans with minimum interest, without any guarantee to support travel agents.
Kishan Reddy called on people to take the initiative to revive tourism with all sorts of precautions like vaccination and wearing masks.The Union Minister said that tourist clubs are being set up in Navodaya schools.
Kishan Reddy said the state chief ministers were asked to set up tourist clubs with students in educational institutions run by the central and state governments.
