State govt stopped ACDP funds for Khanapur constituency : BRS MLA

BRS Khanapur MLA, Ajmeera Rekha Naik, who has been denied the party ticket, said on Thursday that the state government has stopped the ACDP (assembly constituency development programme) funds and that this led to a halt of the development works in the constituency.

Addressing the media, she said it was unfortunate that the state government has stopped the funds.

She pleaded with chief minister Chandrashekar Rao to order release of the funds.

She said disbursal of funds for the Dalit Bandhu, BC Bandhu, the `1 lakh financial assistance to Muslim minorities and road works have been stopped to Khanapur assembly constituency.

“I am still in the BRS and will remain in the party though it kept me aside,” she said, adding that her husband Shyam Naik however joined the Congress.

The MLA said transport minister Ajay joined the BRS and was continuing there while his father Puvvada Nageshwar Rao was in the CPM.She said she was elected twice as MLA and worked for the development of the constituency.

The state government has also done injustice to my daughter by transferring her son-in-law, an IPC officer, she said.

Surprisingly, BRS ZPTC of Sarangapur, Pathi Reddy Rajeshwar who recently joined the Congress was present at Rekha Naik’s house in Khanapur while she interacted with the media.
