New Delhi, Sep 6 : As India is about to enter the holiday season, the global technology brand realme announced on Tuesday that it will offer offers of 700 crore rupees during its sales during the festive season.The offers will be applicable to all smartphones in the realm as well as Artificial Intelligence of things (AIoT) products.
Users can benefit of these deals through realme.com, Flipkart, Amazon and at realme stores.Discounts will be offered of up to 10,000 rupees on smartphones and up to 12,000 rupees on AIoT products.

“realme has been continuously making efforts to bring ever-increasing innovative products in the field of technology, and over time, has introduced numerous products with industry-leading features.I believe that these efforts have helped us become the second-largest brand of smartphones in India,” Madhav Sheth CEO realme India and VP realme, and President, realme International Business Group, told IANS.

“We are looking at the holiday season and have planned offers of 700 crores for our customers on phones and AIoT products.We remain optimistic about numbers this year and are confident we can meet our goals,” Sheth added.

The company has also launched the realme Savings Pass for the customers.The realme Savings Pass can be redeemed shortly after the sale goes into effect on September 8,, and customers can avail benefits worth up to Rs.1,000 and additional benefits.

According to IDC’s report for the quarter ended 2022, realme was second largest smartphone company in India with an 17.5 percent market share.

realme said that it is working to build a solid 5G portfolio in the last two years.

“We currently have five million customers who use phones with 5G capabilities in India, with 50 percent of our product line already 5G-enabled.Our goal for the year is to make 5G further, and we are fully focused and investing in this in conjunction with recently launched launches,” said the company.

The latest release of realme 9i’s 5G version is a prime instance.The company has launched 5G phones in the sub-Rs 15,000 range but is now trying to bring the price lower.

“There are some challenges, however, given the high costs for components as well as fluctuating prices for dollars.We don’t want to launch an unsatisfactory smartphone that doesn’t satisfy all the requirements of our customers and therefore will require some time to launch 5G smartphones in the sub-Rs 10,000 category,” realme emphasised.

The company recently launched the world’s first 5G smartphone, called the realme 9i for 14999 rupees and is working on the release of other 5G-powered smartphones in the coming months.

By the at the end of 2022, realme hopes to become the second largest smartphone manufacturer in India.
