Corona epidemic is rampant in India.The number of corona cases is doubling now more than in the past.
According to the latest Health Bulletin released by the Union Ministry of Health.
In the past 24 hours, 1,59,632 new corona positive cases were reported in the country.India has reported more than 1.5 lakh cases for 2 consecutive days.The number of active corona cases in the country has reached 5,90,611.The corona positivity rate in the country is 98.36 percent.
The corona positivity rate for the day was 10.21% .327 people have died due to Corona in the last 24 hrs that rose the total count of Covid deaths in India to 4,83,790.In the past 24 hours, 40,863 people across the country have recovered from the corona.The number of recoveries nationwide reached 3,44,53,603.To date, the Union Ministry of Health has vaccinated 151.58 crore people across the country.The Department of Health has vaccinated 56,91,175 people with Covid vaccine in the past 24 hours.The number of Omicron cases reached 3623 in India with Maharashtra continuing to top the count with 1,009 cases.
Also, 1409 people have recovered from Omicron so far.
As Covid-19 cases continue to surge across the country, several states have imposed restrictions on movement during the weekend.
